Bessie is Lulu’s cousin/sister who lived with her and her mom for a number of years in SB. Lulu graduated from UCSantaCruz and went on to medical school. There she met her husband, Dr. Robert C., a neurosurgenon, who was a visiting professor. They have been married for 10 years. Lulu is now a librarian at a university–thinking one brain surgeon in the family was enough. Bessie got her masters from UCSB and is a high school English teacher and the mother of 2 1/2 year-old twins.
Both ladies remember fondly their early years hanging out with bands!
