Scorched Earth was the first incarnation that I played this type of game, but I wasn't sure if there was a predecessor (Gorillas was similar in that it involved angle, power, and wind, but Scorched Earth scorched Gorillas).

Yes, I am this much of a geek. The original GW-Basic game was called Bananas and the game Scorched Earch was(is!) amazing. Going in and editing the banana "explosions" in the basic game was a crude way to make myself chuckle. Something about the entire screen being cleared from one well placed MOAB (Mother of all Banana-bombs) is quite amusing.

HELP! I'm being repressed!
Your mother was a hampster and your father smelled of elderberries!
etc etc etc

When i was in Jr High we took a class call DOS, which was basically typing and how to run programs from a dos prompt, anyway we had a super low budget version of this that was called Gorillas. Each player was a gorilla who stood atop a random city scape and using the same angle and force mechanic you would toss, i kid you not, Atomic Bananas at one another. Great fun.
Is there a worms game out that runs on Vista? i loved the one i had but it ran on windows 95.
