Check out Andy Diggle’s Adam Strange series (I believe it’s called Planet Theft) from DC. You’ll walk away from it thinking Adam Strange is cooler than you ever thought possible.

If anyone was curious as to whether it is possible to channel Hunter S Thompson on a nerd blog, they can stop wondering. I also like the fact that the only person I could ever imagine injecting something into their eyeball is Homer. My only regret is that there was no reference to a batman or batmen in the post, or even bat country.

The really addictive part of the trade paperback for on-going comics is that it tricks you into thinking you can ‘catch up’ on the stories. I spent several hundred dollars and more book shelf space than I could spare chasing newer X-Men books because I thought I’d finally be able to read ‘the whole story’ and be forever caught up. I think I hit bottom at some point during the House of M.

Be careful, you do not want to start chasing that dragon….
