It’s no secret that Time Inc. is actively pursuing and reimagining what each of the magazines under the Time Inc. umbrella might look like on a tablet. What the company has come up with so far in conjunction with the Wonderfactory is the Manhattan Project, which essentially is an interactive magazine. The demo above shows what Sports Illustrated might look like as a digital app, which is how Josh Quittner is describing the whole phenomena.

TechCrunch sat down with Terry McDonnell, the editor of SI, for a demo that’s running on an HP table computer. I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve seen it in action myself, which I’m told will happen this week. But for now check out both videos and let us know what you think of the whole thing.
