International Iron Man 2 Poster Revealed

It’s pretty amazing to see what Marvel Studios has done to resurrect the comic book genre in Hollywood. Not that it was that great to begin with. Adaptations released in the last decade have been comical and far too corny. The X-Men movies were terrible including Wolverine, which has to be the worst of the bunch.

Not that DC has done any better. No matter what anyone says, Bryan Singer’s ‘Superman Returns’ was awful, which is probably why he isn’t going to be involved with the next one if it ever gets the green light. I’ve been saying this for years and I’ll say it again because we’re still in the honeymoon phase. DC needs to adapt the Death of Superman story arc into a movie. It would be perfect. Anyway, DC recently formed their own studio and I’m hoping they return their universe to glory. Hopefully Green Lantern will be the kick-off. (Update:Oh crap, I totally forgot about Nolan’s Batman flicks and the original Batman. This is what happens when the rest of the universe goes to crap. I <3 Batman.)

But I digress. Marvel Studios’ Iron Man was fantastic and I have no doubt that Iron Man 2 will be even better. Empire revealed the international poster for IM2 earlier today. Doesn’t Tony look happy? In case you missed the official US poster.

I agree with you on Superman Returns. Super Kid? C’mon. But did you not like the Batman films? I’m definitely looking forward to Iron Man 2.

FML. I totally forgot about Batman and he’s supposedly my favorite character of all time.

I’m sorry, but the X-Men films were terrible? Are you kidding me? The first two were pitch-perfect. The third was meh, mostly due to a lack of Bryan Singer. And honestly, departures from canon aside, Wolverine Origins was an entertaining enough flick. Hell, I didn’t even dislike Superman Returns that much.

Granted, superhero films can be awful (Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Catwoman, etc.) but let’s not hold them up too, TOO damn high. They’re supposed to be exciting, dumb fun. When they reach Iron Man/Dark Knight heights, great, but if they don’t, they can still be enjoyed to a degree.
