Man, I hope he pulls this off, it’s frustrated me for years that someone like Paul Allen or Bill Gates hadn’t used their fortunes to start up a private, commercial space operation, ala D.D. Harriman from Heinlein’s books. The initial investment is obviously much bigger than Heinlein envisioned, but he was right about the other end — the potential profits are essentially infinite.
