What we have here are three HD streaming devices from Iomega that you can hook up to your TV to stream content over a home network. It’s not science of the rockets.

The ScreenPlay Director HD Media Player comes packed with a 1TB drive and full HD (1080p) playback at 24fps. It’s DivX Home Theater certified and supports other popular formats like H.264, WMV and MKV. It does not have built-in Wi-Fi, but one of the three USB ports can be occupied by a Wi-Fi dongle that’s sold separately.

It’s DLNA compatible and includes portals to YouTube, Flickr, Shoutcast Internet radio, as well as customizable RSS feeds and podcasts. One would assume it has HDMI port, but there’s no mention of one in the press release.

The ScreenPlay Director HD will be available later this month for $249.

The ScreenPlay Plus comes in 500GB and 1TB offerings with 720p (1080i) video playback. It’s also DLNA compatible and DivX Home Theater certified. This has an HDMi port and one USB port. The 500GB model is available now for $169.

Coming in at $129 (available later this quarter) is the ScreenPlay TV Link Director sans storage. No mention of how many USB ports there are, but I’d imagine there’s more than one as it’s being touted as the stripped-down version of the Director HD. One would also assume that it supports full HD content as well.

Roxio CinemaNow comes on all three devices so you can buy or rent movies (additional premium content pending) via the Internet.
