Haven’t seen this yet, but lot’s of familiar vibes:

Also, ^^ what crispy said. I mean the last two seasons of Supernatural’ve mostly been about bad-ass angels.
The idea of Heaven’s war been done before and often – think the Metatron – phillip pullman – amber spyglass.

Also the whole Humanity’s last chance decided over a one night siege in a diner reminds me of this tv movie – ‘Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight’ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114608/)

This could be a good or a bad movie.. it could be choked with long speeches and bad script and angels being earnest and angry.. or angels+uzis=win

It looks like a great movie, the only problem I have with it is that it promotes pligimy. Not a good thing.

I am dying to see this movie. Tomorrow night is wing-fu night! (I’m trying to make wing-fu happen.)

But honestly, none of this is really breaking any angel stereotypes for me. As an avid comic book reader, I’ve been seeing these kind of badass angels for over a decade, mainly in the characters of Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane. Not to mention a fairly well-known X-Man with angel wings.
