We all remember the hours we spent staring at the soggy aircraft bobbing in the water when US Airways Airbus 320 went down in the Hudson River after the infamous bird strike. And then of course, there was the media sainthood of Captain Sully, whose face is still gracing billboards here in Midtown NYC.

After what I’m sure was a hefty pay out, the insurance company is looking to dump the plane parts on the highest bidder, but LOST fans potential buyers take note: “Severe water damage throughout airframe. Impact damage to underside of aircraft.” Or so says the auction listing.

Currently the aircraft affectionately known as “The Miracle on the Hudson” is still in New Jersey, and bids will be accepted until March 27.
