The week leading up to any Apple announcement is filled with speculation and alleged “insider info” that comes from “various sources” that seemingly come out of the woodwork. But how are we to know what’s fact or fiction? Are stories of the “Apple Gestapo” and controlled leaks true? Why is everyone so infatuated with what Apple will announce tomorrow? You’d think the tablet was some mythical creature and that Steve Jobs is its almighty maker.

Rumors of Apple’s fabled Tablet have been circulating for years and that, friends, is not an exaggeration. It’s been a long time coming and we’re less than 24 hours from seeing Apple’s fabled iTablet/iSlate/iPad. Within these pages contains a very brief history of how we got here and where we might be going after tomorrow. Like I said, Apple did not invent the tablet but they’ll certainly define how we use them because Steve Jobs can do no wrong. *sarcasm*

    WATCH: Japanese Scientist Controls Avatar-Style Robot Surrogate

    In another case of science catching up to science fiction, Japanese researchers have developed a robot that can be controlled through a special head-mounted display and a pair of gloves. According to AFP, the robot operator sees, feels and hears all of the things that the robot — named Telesar V — does.
