Hit #3: AirPort Express

I’m not sure this was a hit. The Apple TV already did this. Never had a use for it.

This device rocks for travelers. I use mine everywhere I go. Almost every hotel internationally uses a wired connection for internet in your room. This allows you to use that connection wirelessly with no messing around with configuration. It is also great for a quick ad-hoc wireless network on the run.

The Apple TV is overpriced and not worth the $$$. You can already stream netflix over a bunch of devices. This however, teamed with a IPOD Touch or Iphone (used as a remote) rocks for streaming Itunes over my stereo downstairs wirelessly. Also great for using it on travel as an ad-hoc network.

I wouldn’t put the AppleTV and the Airport Express in the same category. ATV is mostly for visual entertainment, yes it can do music, but mostly entertainment. AExpress, is a networking device, printer server and yes it can also do music. But that is as much as they overlay in terms of functionality.

I love to stream music with the express in my house, still confused why the regular airport never had the option for that.

Yes. Same as satelshawn. Great little device. I use it when traveling and at expos. Easiest to setup no matter where your are and it packs nicely.
