Today in Techland: Mike talked with 45 creator Andi Ewington, Peter tells us what he really thinks of the Palm Pre Plus and Steve pushed pause on his favorite scene from Avatar. Check it out.

Here’s what else going on in nerd news around the Web:

Happy Palindrome Day! Yeah, the date is exactly the same read forward and backward. Also an excellent drinking holiday…

Yippee for 3G? According to papers filed with the FCC, Google will release a version of its Nexus One that will operate along with AT&T’s 3G network. Now, the only 3G network supported by the phone is T-Mobile’s USA Network.

Sounds like a Subway commercial to me. LOST co-creator Damon Lindelof promised that the final season of his hit show would be “fresh and interesting.” At least they can’t get any vaguer. Watch it on MTV.com.

News on Captain America. During an interview for his upcoming flick, The Wolfman, director Joe Johnston let loose some details from the upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America. “The stuff in the ’60s and ’70s [comic books] we’re sort of avoiding. We’re going back to the ’40s, and then forward to what they’re doing with Captain America now.” Awesome.

iPad <3′s Verizon. There is a deal in the works! Apparently, the Verizon-iPad agreement could be announced as soon as June of this year, but still leaves us wondering: Why the initial delay?

Review: Soulo Converts iPad into Karaoke Machine

Karaoke lovers typically fall into two categories: Those who enjoy it, and those whose arms have to be twisted to get up and sing in public. Enter Soulo, a software and microphone kit that can turn an iPad or other Apple device into a karaoke machine. It gives you instant karaoke in the privacy of your own home, or wherever you carry your Apple gadgets. That’s the idea, anyway.
