We’ve got a special treat for Droid and Nexus One owners. iQapps will be launching the first Android shooter, iCommando, later today, but we’ve got 10 codes to share with you now. All you need to do to win is @ us on Twitter or post a link on our Facebook page with a picture of you with your Nexus One or Droid with the TECHLAND homepage in the background. We’ll pick the winners at random. Easy, right?

I’ve had a few minutes to tinker with it and what I noticed right off the bat was the control scheme. Rather than reverting to a wonky D-pad-like control that you’d find on the iPhone, iCommando on Android uses the accelerometer to focus in on enemies.

“iCommando: Dark Shadow” sells for $2.99 but iQapps is running a special $1.99 introductory price.

Combining a rich story line with smooth, responsive game play control, iCommando: Dark Shadow follows the adventures of U.S. Army Major John McKenzie as he works single handedly to stop the flow of cargo supplies to a terrorist group hiding in Nigeria. The game features six missions with different objectives, available in three difficulty levels. Daytime and nighttime missions add new challenges to the game’s traditional shooter concept, with the some of the most advanced weapon controls available in any Android platform game.

Updates to the game will include more weapon options, more levels and other gameplay options.
