The third installment in Sony’s wildly popular SOCOM: US Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo series ships next Tuesday and today, TECHLAND has an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how the game was made. I recently sat down with Slant Six, the team that developed Fireteam Bravo 3 in San Francisco and learned just how intense it was to make this title. For instance, they used a mocap video system to better mimic the way actual Navy SEALs move. Fun fact: said mocap system is one of two ever produced – James Cameron owns the other one.
Some notable features for Fireteam Bravo 3 include the following:
• Co-op over an Ad Hoc network and online up to 4 players
• Multiplayer up to 16 players over an Ad Hoc network and online
• Voice chat enabled
• Thousands of weapon configurations
