Rorschach:
I'm glad I'm not the only one who got that "grooming" was her motivation. What more cynical character exists in fiction than the vampire? Using "innocent & pure" to describe anything about a vampire smacks of "Twilight" or some other form of hopeless romanticism.

SPOILERS: Maybe I'm just a horrible cynic but I thought the boy was being used. The vampire was grooming a replacement blood-getter. It found a boy so lonely and desperate for companionship that it would do horrible things for the vampire. Until he gets too old to be useful/realizes what his life is and kills himself, and then the vampire will repeat the cycle and find some other pathetic child. The vampire couldn't care less about the boy as a human. It's just an animal using a lesser being as a tool. I thought it was a horribly depressing ending. The child is doomed to a life of isolation and murder, whether he knows it or not at the time (and I actually think he does, he just doesn't care - He will).

BTW I'm very sorry about the condescending tone of my last comment.

I'm bothered enough by the prospect of clicking through yet another gallery that I'm going to comment about how I'm not going to click it. That's how bothered I am!

(so I'm not a complete jerk I'll also comment to vylow76): That's a very, very optimistic view of that movie unless you are being jokey, in which case that is a very funny comment.

Let the right one in. It has got to be one of the most innocent and pure romances i have seen develope bettween two youngsters. It is obvious at the end of the movie that the bond bettween these two goes beyond anything a mortal or immortal grown up can understand.
The way the friendship between a vampire girl and a human boy develops... It is very beautiful.
At the end when the lines are crossed and actions are taken, you feel nothing but relief and joy. Check it out.
One of the best vampire movies ever!!!!!
