Resident Evil 5: A Guide To All of the New Bonus Content

Nearly a year after it came out, Resident Evil 5 is back with a vengeance starting today with the release of a new downloadable episode on Xbox Live. The deluge of new content that’s going to be available for this game in the next few weeks is a little confusing so here’s a rundown of what’s on tap:

Lost in Nightmares

This episode reunites classic RE characters Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine for a mission that takes place in a mansion owned by Umbrella Corp. founder Ozwell E. Spencer. It also unlocks Excella Gionne and Barry Burton as playable characters in RE5‘s revamped Mercenaries Reunion survival mode.

Desperate Escape

Available March 3rd on Xbox Live and March 4th on the PlayStation Network ($5)

In this mission that runs concurrently with RE5′s main characters Chris and Sheva, you break out of the Tricell facility as Josh Stone or Jill Valentine. Desperate Escape also unlocks Josh and Rebecca Chambers in Mercenaries Reunion.

Costume Pack #1

This download gives you “Heavy Metal” and “Business” outfits for Chris and Sheva, respectively.

Costume Pack #2

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition
