I know, I’m squealing with glee too.

Entertainment Weekly has just reported that Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland) and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) will unite to create a film adaptation of Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. Not bad for a book that only hit shelves hours ago, eh?

(Haven’t read it yet? Read Lev’s review of the book here.)

Few details about the film, a mash up of the story President Lincoln stirred with the fright of Stoker-type bloodsuckers, have been revealed, but we do know that the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) will adapt the screenplay and Jim Lemley (Wanted) will produce.

Though this news is pretty titillating, we have to admit that the announcement oozes with well-timed PR desperation. Still, Lincoln and vamps? We’ll bite.
