Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Jerusalem and to celebrate the association is displaying the manuscript of Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity in its entirety for the first time. Nerds, delight!
The 46-page report is a handwritten explanation of Einstein’s most notable work which he wrote in his home in Berlin in 1916. The work details his famous formula for mass-energy equivalence (E=mc2) as well as his explanation of gravity’s effect on space and time. (He won the Nobel Prize in physics for his work in 1921.)
Selfishly, I wish I could communicate with Einstein’s ghost solely to have him explain LOST to me. I don’t care what ABC says, they’ve answered NOTHING. Let’s whip out the ‘ol ouija board. Anyone?
The manuscript was left to the Hebrew University (which he helped found) in 1925. Einstein’s work will be on display until March 25.
