The Worst Live-Action Versions of Cartoon Classics

Favorite cartoons, be them TV series, movies or comics are sacred ground. To soil a perfectly wonderful cartoon is to tramp around on childhood memories. And who else can we depend on to beat a dead horse? Hollywood.

Woe is me if Shaymalan does Avatar: The Last Airbender. I found them recently Via netflix, they have the first season on streaming. IMHO by far the best written animation series I have yet to see. I probably shouldn’t say this but I’ve cried a couple times while watching this awesome series. Riveting, funny, and well written. There is no way he could improve on the original, really.

Perhaps it’d be easier to come up with a list of ones that are remotely watchable.

I also fear The Last Airbender is going to be on this list. :(

I think the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie is very cute and rewatchable. I have yet to see ‘The Squeakquel’ – I am on the wait-list at my local library.

    Nice list, but woefully incomplete.

    Three words:
