Rejoice: It’s iPad Pre-Order Day!

Starting today, Apple is accepting pre-orders for the iPad, which hits stores Saturday, April 3. Apple has limited iPad reservations to two per customer and is offering free delivery or free in-store pickup. (More on Techland: Hands-on With the Apple iPad)

iPad earbuds, dock, keyboard, power adapter, VGA adapter and case are also available for pre-order in the Apple store, though the expected shipping dates vary by product.     You Can Pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S III Now, but It’ll Cost You

    It’s “friggin’ huge,” as my colleague Jared Newman recently quipped, and Samsung’s Galaxy S III is also going to be friggin’ expensive if you’re in the U.S. and want firsties. While the phone’s stateside launch date is still “early June,” Amazon has started taking pre-orders for the international version.

    I had a good laugh last night when a PC fan-bouy was trying to get my goat by telling me how the iPad has flopped so bad…not a single one has been delivered. I asked if he knew it (yesterday) was the first day of PRE-orders.
    I never understood the strange “competition” (sic hatred) between people who use the two different platforms.
    Anyhow, I am waiting for iPad G2, but I will definitely get one some day.
