Things I Didn’t Know Existed Until Today: Cardboard TRON

Like any other day, I’ve been cruising the Web looking for neat content to share with you guys. It’s unclear if any of you fine patrons of Nerd World Techland are interested in board sports, so I passed on the Channel Islands (PRODUCT) RED Double Helix M-13 and the Teva Illum sandals, which I find stupid. Oh, and don’t even get me started on Mick Fanning’s signature Reef models. Those gross me out. But I digress.

I didn’t find too many gadgets that are mindblowingly awesome that we wouldn’t have already covered, but I was reading an interview with Jeff Bridges and he mentioned a fan made reenactment of the infamous lightcycle race from TRON with cardboard on his site. I went. I saw. And now I’m sharing. It’s a couple years old, so I’m sure some of you have already seen it but if you haven’t then check it out.

This isn’t ideal but we use some janky video service called Vodpod to embed videos within our posts. It’s pulling the wrong video, so I’ve resorted to embedding the super low-res rip that’s on YouTube. I suggest you link out to the Daily Motion video instead. But come back!

P.S. – If any of you are into board sports (surf, skate, snow) then let me know if there’s something you want me to test out and I’ll do my best to do so.
