Today in Techland: We’re all a little sickish here in Techland, so we’re going to make this quick. Get well soon, everybody. BUT, if you haven’t check out our awesome Monster Madness bracket, part one of the first round picks were announced to day. I only have one thing to say: Lucy Van Pelt > Magneto. Oh yeah.

Here’s what else is going in nerd news around the Web:

Tim Burton, there you go being all “Tim Burton” again: Today we learned that Burton is set to make a stop-motion version of The Addams Family from Collider. Makes sense to me, but I’m wondering if people have tired of his shtick. (Judging by Alice in Wonderland‘s gross, I guess not.)

HAHA: Yes, it’s a Bill Paxton pin ball machine. Why? Why not?

Wait, WHAT? They’re making Lake Placid 3? Really? Really? Yes.

The heart of a machine: Today, Apple mourned the loss of Board Member Jerome B. York on the homepage of Apple.com. We wish more companies would be this caring/appreciative.

Just say NO: Guys, stop being fooled by the Facebook virus. We don’t really like giving these a-holes guys any more attention, but if you get an email asking you to change your password, DON’T. It’s a fake. The phonies are trying to hack you. Ahhh.
