Monster March Madness: Which Villains Advanced After Round 1

Round 1 of Techland’s own villain bracket is officially over!

Like yesterday in the real NCAA tourney, there’s been a ton of upsets among our villains so far (Georgetown: you can win the Big East Tournament but lose in the first round of the Big Dance!?). We know Lucy Van Pelt over Magneto, Borg over The Daleks and other picks riled you up yesterday so we can’t wait to show you what’s happened now in the Rapture and Narnia portions of the bracket.

Make sure you let us know who you think deserved the win and who got shafted in the comments below. And don’t forget about that big prize.

Check out what the bracket looks like by clicking on the image below now that Round 1 is officially over. Or get the printable PDF here.

WATCH: Japanese Scientist Controls Avatar-Style Robot Surrogate

In another case of science catching up to science fiction, Japanese researchers have developed a robot that can be controlled through a special head-mounted display and a pair of gloves. According to AFP, the robot operator sees, feels and hears all of the things that the robot — named Telesar V — does.

How Vita-PSP Game Compatibility Works, Launch Support List Available Now

It’s nearly time to bid farewell to Sony’s PlayStation Portable, but how does PSP emulation work on the Vita? And which PSP games is Sony making available at launch?

    PHANTOM ZONE:
-Col. Quaritch (his determination will make it untolerable even for Khan, and he’ll eventually win)
-Darth Vader (he can kill these sharks from far away, using he force, and the lightsaber will cut these animals like butter)
-Smoke Monster (because Terminator is not invincible, and the Smoke Monster seems to have no weakness)
-Borg (as clever as the MCP, but its got a physical presence, and can eventually take control of the MCP)

    NARNIA:
-Queen Jadis (she’s more evil and can freeze Prof clever-Sherlock-Holmes-is-my-nemesis)
-Voldemort (he can let the basilic fight against the dragon and wait until Jabberwocky is exhausted to kill him/it)
-Dr Horrible (because he’s my favorite, and because all his guns and science-knowledge are way enough to take care of crazy Jack, especially now that he’s in the League and has nothing to lose)
    - King Kong (I’m not sure how Thisle Down is supposed to win, but the massive Gorilla should be able to deal with that)

    RAPTURE:
-The Reapers (because no Flame-throwing turtle can beat such a huge beast)
-Zeus (come on, an electrifying guy against an electrifying god… that’s easy)
-Mother Brain (stronger and also more determined to destroy the world than the knight in mighty swimming-suit)
-The Flood (because no vampire can beat such a fast-spreading, hard-to-get-rid-of parasite)

    OOLONG ISLAND:
-Darkseid (after all, despite his cleverness, Luthor is only human)
-Ra’s Al Ghul (he’s pretty much invincible, more powerful, and is more determined to wipe humanity)
-The Joker (because he’s one of my favorite, but also because with all it’s viciousness and gas and acid, the Joker can easily trick Kingpin)
-Dr Octopus (Come on! How did Lucy Van Pelt even pass the first round ?!)

    Phantom Zone
    - Khan (plain old badassery)
    - Darth Vader (the Force wins this one)
    - Smoke Monster (you can’t even touch it)
    - Borg (assimilation will win)
    Narnia
    - Prof. Moriarty (the man’s just too smart)
    - Voldemort (magic trumps dragon)
    - Dr. Horrible (personal favorite too, freeze ray followed by the death ray)
    - King Kong (it’s a giant gorilla, what do you expect)
    Rapture
    - Reapers (the overgrown turtle doesn’t stand a chance)
    - Zeus (agree. god of lightning trumps man of lighting)
    - Mother Brain (more power and resources)
    - The Flood (Dracula would hold out but eventually fall)
    Oolong Island
    - Luthor (same as Moriarty, too damn smart)
    - Ra’s Al Ghul (same as Luthor)
    - Joker (you can’t stop something this crazy)
    - Lucy ( one good kicked football to the junk will put Ock down)
