Spanish-language site Clipset.net apparently got some hands-on time with the HP Slate and revealed that European pricing will be set at 400 Euro, which is equivalent to just under $550 here in the US.
That’s not to say that it’ll actually cost $550 here, though. If I were a betting man, I’d think that HP might be shooting for something closer to $499 in order to compete with the you-know-what Pad that’s due out next month.
Other rumored features include Windows 7 with Adobe Flash support, Atom CPU, USB ports, rear-facing webcam, memory card reader, and a rubberized underside to prevent inadvertent bouts with gravity.
The Slate will supposedly launch sometime in June (presumably in the US) with a European launch to follow in September. All this info seems relatively solid so far, although take it with a grain of salt until HP officially releases the details directly.
