Today in Techland: We rolled out the things we’ll geek-out for in April. (Hint: Kick-Ass, Stephen King, Brightest Day) Doug declared war on that pesky rain, I showed some love for Rube Goldberg and Lev bravely went back into Twilight territory. Kind of a slow day all around, but just in case…

Here’s what else is going on in nerd news around the Web:

Dear M. Night Shyamalan, Why are these characters white? (Confession: Jamie Foxx’s  Blame It (On the Alcohol) just popped into my head. Sadly, I’m not kidding.) Shyamalan had some interesting things to say to i09 about his casting choices in the upcoming The Last Airbender:

“Here’s the thing. The great thing about anime is that it’s ambiguous. The features of the characters are an intentional mix of all features. It’s intended to be ambiguous. That is completely its point.”

Hmm. Thoughts?

The world’s still here! This morning in Switzerland, the Large Hadron Collider managed to sustain a 7 trillion electric volts particle beam and collide protons at three times the previous record energy level. Awesome.

Things you can do on the Internet, part 740: Audition for a major TV show. Craziness. Honestly, I think FOX would save a boat load if they just hosted American Idol on Ryan Seacrest’s MySpace page.

The Robinsons! Underappreciated? I think so. (I also know the answer to the question.)

I sincerely wish I could send you a dinosaur related prize for you shared love of this movie, but alas, I am prize-less.

Easily, a top ten dinosaur moment.
