Today in Techland: Steve caught up with the lovely Kari Byron of Mythbusters, to talk about her return to the show, Evan brought us a look at upcoming game Spider-Man: Shattered Memories, and Doug tracked down the latest on the Loch Ness Monster. Happy hump day! And just in case you missed something…

Here’s what else is going on in nerd news around the Web:

Yeah, we’re with you, Steve: For everyone who has been frustrated with the Comic Con 2010 hotel debacle, read Collider’s write up here … which will only piss you off more, but hey, at least you’re not alone right?

Highlight: “From what I’ve put together, if you submitted your application between 9:00-9:07, you made the mistake of trying to follow the instructions.  Because almost everyone I spoke with got a hotel miles away from the convention and one that wasn’t on your list (I got one 3 miles away).  But if you submitted your form from about 9:10-9:30, there was a good chance you got a top three pick and a hotel right next to the convention.  Bet you didn’t know that.”

GRRRRR.

But will this marketing scheme really go viral? Iron Man 2′s latest Web marketing ploy went live today. Starkexpo2010.com is up and running and meshing reality with Hollywood movie making. What did you think?

A 3D music video that doesn’t require glasses? Well, that was … jarring. But in an awesome way.
