Happy Monday, everybody. Hope your weekend went swimmingly. Here’s what else is going on in nerd news around the Web:

#streamysfail: Who else cringed while thinking back on Paul Scheer’s announcement that more than 750,000 people were subjected to watching last night’s award show? The main complaints go a little something like this:

1. Crude, yet unfunny jokes.
2. Glitches. The clips froze, the live-stream froze – which led to more off-the-cuff “humor.”
3. No rehearsal. That one was just painfully obvious.

The saddest thing about last night’s less-than-enjoyable Streamy Awards were that the honorees didn’t get the caliber of recognition they really deserved. The body work of this year’s nominees was fantastic – the awards show set to honor them was not. (Read more over at Social Times) Of course, backlash was strong from viewers, including a Twitter hail storm of hate: #streamysfail.

I picked a few to represent the general consensus:

The curious case of Green Lantern’s lack of superhero garb: It appears that Ryan Reynold’s interpretation of the Green Lantern doesn’t involve a super suit, or not a real one anyway. Apparently, the suit will be all CGI, all the time. I don’t know about you, but I’m a little disappointed.

Everybody loves Conan: But TBS? Hmm. This wasn’t even on the radar. His new, still untitled show will air at 11 p.m. on TBS and serve as a lead-in to George Lopez’s Lopez Tonight. Says Conan: “In three months I’ve gone from network TV to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.” Apparently, talks with FOX soured after affiliates realized they’d loose the nice chunk ‘o change that trickles in after syndicated re-runs.
