I don't know... Anna and Lisa have been calling Tyler "the one" for a while now, so my first inclination has always been that he was implanted in Erica by a Visitor, and they are trying to reclaim him now. It didn't surprise me in the least when his dad wasn't really his dad anymore. See also Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

I don't think John May is dead either. Until they show a flashback of Ryan taking him out, or some tearful and heartfelt goodbye before John May spontaneously combusts himself, I'm not buying it. I think that was just another story that Ryan, who seems to be a compulsive liar at this point, is telling the AlienBusters.

This is all just a build-up to a lizard-like alien army descending on the Fifth Column, unless they are going to put the army into the live-aboard people, also folks (like Tyler) who were likly unknowingly groomed for this sort of thing.

I'm still holding out for Hobbes to go all "Falling Down" on board V ship.

This show is just terrible. Nothing happens, and there isn't a threat of anything happening. What is the goal of the bad guys? What is the goal of the good guys? I watch this show and think "is this really happening?"

Agreed. In computer terms, we'd refer to this as thrashing — lots of flopping around, with nothing really being accomplished.

We'll know it's drawing near euthanasia time when ABC's promos for the show stop touting the plot and start featuring cameos from Reed Diamond, Summer Glau, and Robert Englund. (No, I don't have any inside dope on this, but that's the sort of last-minute shot of adrenaline to the heart that the desperate will try just before the patient expires.)

When will these guys ever learn that (A) a 3-month gap in the schedule is almost as bad as relentlessly shuffling time slots when it comes to destroying viewer loyalty and (B) no amount of good acting or expensive special effects can ever compensate for lack of good writing?

The show definitely needs to dispense with the drama and start showing some alien skin.....no more of this teasing alien eyeball crap. Give us a full armada of lizard warriors.

Hell, if Power Rangers could CG-fake their way through planet-wide destruction, then ABC can spend some coin to give us WETA wanna be alien destruction.
