Eliss

Eliss is tough to describe: players need to move spontaneously spawning blobs of color away from each other in a cosmic setting with helpful black holes, slo-mo asteroids and angry comets. But all you really need to know is that it’s a nearly perfect slice of touch gaming. Eliss makes the player frantically tap, pinch and slide across the touchscreen in ways that just wouldn’t be possible on PC or console. This genius game feels like the reason the iPhone was invented.

Drop7

Drop7′s creates unrelenting addiction of math. Making falling globes of numbers disappear on a 7×7 grid may not sound fun but, when the rules finally click in your head, you’ll never put the game down. It’s got simple rules, a hypnotic soundtrack and just enough visual flair to generate a rhythmic allure that almost make you feel like you’re getting smarter by playing it. Drop7′s a great example of how less can be more on the iPhone.
