Love it or hate it, it’s impossible to deny the Wii’s success. Nintendo’s had a hard time meeting demand for the system pretty much since launch and it’s introduced new demographic categories to video games like nothing before.
Capitalizing on that success, Nintendo of America’s announced that every Wii will come with Wii Sports Resort and the Wii Motion Plus add-on. They’ll be offering their gesture-based gaming console in black for the first time ever. The sequel to the popular Wii Sports pack-in title launched last year, along with the peripheral that improves tracking for the Wii-mote. The price for the Wii will hold steady at $199 and Wii Sports still comes in the box, so new buyers will be getting a lot more for their dollar. With this announcement out of the way, surely Nintendo’s got to have something big up their sleeve for E3, right? We’ll see in a month.
