Disney will begin this year’s batch of Star Wars Weekends in just a few weeks, and these ads by Disney’s Yellow Shoes have kicked things off on a high note.
This year’s weekends will be held on May 21 – 23, May 28 – 30, June 4 – 6, and June 11 – 13 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando. The best part? You can arrive at Disney for the final Star Wars Weekend AND make the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter that Friday, June 18. If anyone takes this specific geektastic vacation, I want photos. Seriously, I’ll put them up.

In other Star Wars/Disney news, Disney announced today that it’ll be hosting a huge Star Wars celebration in partnership with Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Celebration V on Aug. 14. The event is dubbed Last Tour to Endor, and will be held in the park after hours (8p.m. to 1 a.m.) and is one of the last chances for fans to ride famed simulator Star Tours before it closes for renovations. (Star Tours ll will open in 2011.)
Also included will be Star Wars shows, a Death Star Disco (costumes encouraged) and a special fireworks show. Tickets are $75, and are on sale here.
