Mega Man: The Full-Length Mega Fan Film

Who wouldn’t love 90 minutes of Mega Man?

If you’ve got the time, take a break from finessing your LOST theories and check out the feature-length fan made film, Mega Man, directed by Eddie Lebron. The story line is solid, and though the stunts and FX are expectantly low-budget, this little guy’s got heart. Based on the first game, Dr. Light and Dr. Wily fall out and new humanoid Rock must stop Wily from taking over the world.

The actors playing Rock and Dr. Wily are standouts, and while I wish Roll’s character didn’t seem so inherently annoying, the movie is charming overall. If you can sit through an episode or two of the first few seasons of The Power Rangers, this might be for you.

Trying to Be Optimistic About a Google Music-Streaming System

The Wall Street Journal’s Amir Efrati and Ethan Smith are reporting that Google is working on a consumer-electronics system designed to stream music–and, eventually, maybe video and other media–around the home. Their story doesn’t have much in the way of detail, but does say that Google’s brainchild might be akin to a lower-cost version of Sonos’s excellent-but-pricey music-streaming products. Absent more details, there are several ways to respond to this sketchy bit of news.
