Poll: Quitting Facebook Because of New Privacy Terms?

We can’t go anywhere without hearing gripes about Facebook’s new terms of use. How do you feel about all of this Facebook backlash? Are you searching for delete instructions as I type, or “Liking” everything in sight? We’re curious.

I actually like all the granular privacy controls that FB has introduced over the last several months. Sure, they’re evil for defaulting everything to “public”, but at least I can control exactly what my friends, friends of friends, and the internet can “see” from my account. Assuming it actually works and they’re not lying about it (they wouldn’t do that, right? :) )

Don’t forget people: Google’s bots are reading all your gmail. Nothing’s free in this world.

Remember the basic rule: never post anything (in an email, on a message board, in Facebook, etc.) that you can’t live with if the world ends up seeing it.

Maybe I’ve been reading or hearing the news wrong, but I thought Facebook just did an about face (pun intended) on there privacy settings. Several page features that could be set to private are now permanently public ie. Name, picture, friends list, etc…
