Poll: Should Twitter Surrender The Names Of Its Users To Police?

The Pennsylvania attorney general Tom Corbett has subpoenaed Twitter for the identity of two of its users who tweeted critical stuff about him. So far, Twitter’s reps say they will protect the personal information of its users. Do you think Twitter should give the information up or tell Corbett where he can stick his subpoena in 140 characters or less?

For something such as this I think twitter should stand its ground. Now if they had tweeted about how they committed such and such crime then I would say twitter should give them the names. But from what I have read of this case it does not fit that mold so hell no.

Look, I don’t know about you, but I’ve got nothing to hide from the Solar Guard. They’re the only thing that keeps us safe from those damn Venusians.

Also, Polldaddy is stupid because it keeps inviting me to vote every time I check to see if Lev got my joke (because Peter sure isn’t going to…)

@midpipps. Word. Poll does not allow for a nuanced opinion. I agree with your take whole-heartedly.
