Elvis + Frankenstien? We hear that Alan Goldsher, author of upcoming zombie novel Paul is Undead has signed yet another music meets monsters novel, only this one will mash the King of Rock-n-roll with Mary Shelley. Frankenstien Has Left the Building will meld Shelley’s story of reanimating life from dead tissue with the rise of a rock pioneer. Goldsher told MTV:

“Basically, instead of doing what I did with Paul is Undead — taking the Beatles myth and applying zombie mythology on top of that — I am taking Frankenstein the book and rewriting it with Elvis [Presley] as the creature. The book takes place in the 1960s. It’s still the same format as the original Frankenstein, which is Dr. Frankenstein is relating the story to the ostensible narrator of the book. It’s going to be very close in terms of story arc. All of the same characters are going to be there, but it’s going to be written in a whole new voice. Our Frankenstein character, he’s from the South, just like [the real] Elvis.”

Oh boy. No word on a release date, but his Beatles meet zombies novel Paul is Undead will hit bookstores on June 22.

Free dino! The 20-ft. tall, 30-ft. wide Brontosaurus statue inside Europe’s Dan-yr-Ogof National Showcave Centre for Wales is – sadly – unwanted in its current spot so much so that the park is GIVING IT AWAY FOR FREE. That’s right, anyone who is willing to carry this baby off can take him, free of charge.

Please, Peter? Please, please??? It’ll fit in the office. I swear. I’ll name it Kitty.
