@secretmantra: Why wouldn’t you think Whedon would be a good fit for WW? He writes a great young female lead, and a younger WW would be a better fit for an origin story, as it would add to her naivete about the world outside of her home. I do like Gail Simone though, her run on WW has been good, I enjoyed bringing the Greek mythos into the plots.

In regards to a Wonder Woman movie:

I have heard this before, got my hopes up, and then was utterly disappointed when WB pulled the plug. I will believe it when I see it on the silver screen.

(Although, honestly, it’s probably a good thing that Whedon didn’t get to write a WW film. I don’t think he’s the right kind of writer for this sort of character. Hopefully, WB will be smart and use Gail Simone.)

WTF could Aquaman do that we could possibly be interested in? Cap oil wells in the gulf of Mexico? He’s Michael Phelps meets The Incredible Mister Limpet. DON’T WASTE OUR TIME.

I seriously think they should have done an Aquaman movie when Entourage was spoofing it. As for the Flash movie, Ryan Reynolds still would have been a better Flash then GL, but maybe he’ll change my mind.
I’m also glad they’re doing a Wonder Woman movie. She’s a great character that can do very well if the story is half-decent just on the novelty.
I just hope they don’t flood the market with these movies, but knowing Hollywood, they’ll milk this cow till it bleeds.
