The Crow Flies Again – This Time With A-List Actors and Desert Locales

Full speed ahead on The Crow reboot – and a few interesting revelations about how they are intending to finesse the storyline.

Edward Pressman, original Crow producer, told MTV News a few juicy, if ambiguous tidbits – no doubt partly because the project is still trying to lock down a “Major Actor.” Consider this a trial balloon sorts.

Apparently Pressman has seen Stephen Norrington’s script, and says the story has now shifted locations to the Southwest. He also says that the production is currently approaching a big-name star to sign on as the revived rocker. (More at Techland: Our favorite Google doodles)

Also interesting: The crow itself apparently will now be something far larger in scope than just a bird. Pressman says it will be a larger beast or presence of some sort. Think Godzilla with wings, yes?

Given what happened with Guillermo Del Toro and the whole Hobbit scramble, I’m keeping my excitement under wraps until we know for sure that the new Crow is moving forward, with stable financing. But for now, I have to say that I like where things are heading – altering the locale, beefing up the mythology, thinking big in terms of talent and scope.

Now the only question is: How long are we gonna have to wait for the thing?!
