This year’s spate of music games (and there’s gonna be a lot of ’em) will be getting more hip-hop than ever with Def Jam Rapstar. As previously discussed, Rapstar’s a MC-focused music game that tasks players to perform music from hip-hop greats past and present. Publisher Konami and developer 4MM are announcing that rap fanatics in the U.S. will be able to start spitting hot fire on October 5th and those in Europe will be getting the game on November 2nd. It’ll cost $69.99 in the States and will ship with a  wired microphone.

I outlined the first bunch of tracks in that previous post and now publisher Konami and developer 4MM have let slips a few more tunes that will be playable in the game.

Biz Markie Just A Friend
Drake Best I Ever Had
Ice Cube It Was A Good Day
Outkast So Fresh, So Clean
Pete Rock and CL Smooth They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)
Redman and Method Man Da Rockwilder
Salt-N-Pepa Push It

In addition to the newly-announced tracks, publisher Konami and developer 4MM revealed that superstar producers DJ Premier and Just Blaze will be providing exclusive instrumentals for the game’s Freestyle Mode. Freestyle Mode will let you lace the tracks with your own stanzas, which you’ll be able to share with the game’s social network integration.

The song list’s shaping up pretty well so far and the new tunes named above mean that my neighbors are going to be hearing a lot of Outkast in the fall.
