The very distinctive (and often very weird) writing and artwork of Ted McKeever graced a lot of comics in the late ’80s and ’90s. McKeever’s only published a handful of comics in the past decade, but Shadowline recently published collected editions of some of his best early work: the miniseries Eddy Current, Transit and Metropol. And June 9 sees the release of the first full-on McKeever project in a while: the first issue of Meta 4 (Image), a five-issue “allegorical series” that involves both the astronaut we see in this exclusive preview and “Gasolina, a muscular woman who dresses up as Santa all year round.” As you can imagine, the Techland comics office is pretty excited about it.
