EA Bringing RISK to iPhone

A little world domination in your pants, if you please. Electronic Arts is bringing RISK to the iPhone and iPod Touch sometime this summer, although an exact availability date and pricing haven’t been announced. No mention of a high-res iPad version either.

EA is promising “the real RISK experience,” perhaps in a nod to the handful of RISK clones currently available in the App Store (Generals and Lux DLX, to name a couple).

Aside from a single player game, you’ll be able to engage in four player multiplayer over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or you can go old school with a six player “Pass n’ Play” mode. It’d be nice to have a full 3G online multiplayer mode like the one found in Generals but it looks like it’s not in the cards for now.

Sounds great, but if Apple allowed flash, you’d already be allowed an 8 player multi-player variant that I created, at no cost to you, with randomly generated maps for a new experience every time.
