Summer’s here, which for some means sun, sea, sand and the opportunity to wear clothes that reveal far too much skin for anyone else in the room to be comfortable. It also used to mean a dearth of interesting new television, as the networks’ big shows took a vacation and assumed that everyone would want to go outside and, I don’t know, tan or something. But no longer! Now that cable channels have proven that there’s an audience out there even during the sunshine, even the broadcast networks are muscling in with some interesting new shows over the next few months.
