Put on your thinking caps. Syfy is letting its fans create an upcoming Saturday night creature flick.
A new campaign launched by the site allo ws fans to vote on ideas for the film, creatures, death scenes and taglines included. Fans will be able to visit upcoming site B Movie Mogul to contribute to the script, which will be produced as a two-hour Syfy movie set to air in 2011.

“We constantly have fans e-mailing with compliments, complaints and questions about our movies, and this is a way of involving the fans in a new way,” Thomas Vitale, executive vp programming and original movies for the network told The Hollywood Reporter. “This is where entertainment is going and just the start of many more things of this nature for Syfy.”
While I love the idea of being able to push my Killer Kittens: The Musical idea onto a bigger platform (Dear Hollywood, Call me!), I’m not sure how Syfy’s fanbase will be able to top such gems as Mansquito, Sharks in Venice or Man With The Screaming Brain. Maybe the fun is in trying?
