File Under Duh: Apple’s iPhone 4 Sells Like Hotcakes

In only three days, Apple has managed to do something that others have only dreamt of doing – they sold 1.7 million units of their new iPhone.

“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

That is absolutely bonkers.

    It’s a mid boggling number for a cell phone but I’m not surprised. The price on the iPhone is so much better for what you get now. The performance is much better than with the first couple of releases, the OS has matured very rapidly, and the hardware has gotten better.

    any word on when we’ll start seeing the phone in stores again?
