By all rights, Lucasfilm should now send cease and desist letters to every flashlight manufacturer as well, since they clearly feel they can hold a copyright on a ‘kinda sorta look and feel’.

You can’t patent fiction. You can only copyright it. Anyone can make a derivative work, as long as its not a word for word copy.

Well the most obvious option is to bring it to a showing of Eclipse. Ah, the fun you could have. Maybe when you’re done with that you can use it to destroy Jar Jar action figures and vuvuzelas.
