Assassins’ Creed II Action Figure Will Stab You in the Wallet

For all my nerdy comic-book and video-game hoarding, I’ve never been a toy collector. I’ve got a beloved 7” Mego Batman from my childhood upon my bookshelf, but that’s about it. (Said Mego figure has had a hand-drawn Bat-symbol taped on its chest for three decades. The sticker fell off and was lost and dammit, it’s not just Batman without the symbol, now is it?!)

Ahem.

So, action figures and adult me = meh. But, Sweet Baby Jesus, this Ezio figure from Hot Toys could be the one to change all of that. The Hong Kong-based manufacturer has turned out stellar Iron Man and Inglorious Basterds figures. I knew they’d done stuff for Resident Evil 4 and 5, too, but it turns out they have a whole “VideoGame Masterpieces” line.

The newest addition to this line is, of course, the star of the wildly successful Assassins’ Creed II and the upcoming Assassins’ Creed Brotherhood. This 1/6th scale figure sorts a ridiculous amount of detail, including changeable ponytails and three pairs of hands. IMPORTANT: some of these hands hold weapons! This poseable Ezio comes with weapons, too, amongst them, the signature Assassin hidden blade.

This much devotion to hand-crafted detail ain’t coming cheap. $250 American dollars to have Signore Auditore adorn your desk.
