Man Mysteriously Dies During Twilight Screening

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has killed a man. Let me say that again: The latest movie in the Twilight series has killed a man. Sure, police in New Zealand, where the as-yet-unnamed man was found dead after a screening of Eclipse over the weekend are officially calling the death “unexplained,” but I think we all know the truth. Somehow, this poor 23-year-old man was a victim of the big screen war between vampires and werewolves.

More seriously, police are genuinely confused as to what may have killed the “transient New Zealander” (as the police described him; I’m not sure how much that’s actually meant to suggest “hobo”), according to Wellington Police Department Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Miller:

There are no obvious injuries to this person. And we are looking at this as an unexplained death.

The deceased’s name has been withheld until his family has been reached; an autopsy is expected to reveal more earthly reasons for his demise. Let’s just be glad that Summit Entertainment is classier than to append trailers for the movie with “It’s a killer!”
