Comics God Geoff Darrow Draws Cover of Fallout: New Vegas Prequel

Let’s start this post off with a personal note: I’ve been hankering for some Geoff Darrow art since I don’t know when. I first encountered his mind-blowing art in the ‘90s on Hard-Boiled, a sci-fi noir collaboration with Frank Miller. Ever since then, I went on to pick up Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot (another partnership with Miller) and Darrow’s own Shaolin Cowboy, which he wrote and drew for the Wachowskis’  Burlyman Comics.

But Shaolin Cowboy seemed to disappear, leaving me (and lots of others) without the lunatic satire of Darrow’s insane, hyper-detailed work. Thankfully, Bethesda’s announced that Darrow will be drawing the cover to “All Roads,” the hardcover graphic novel prequel to Fallout: New Vegas. The illustrated run-up to the events of the game will be written by Chris Avellone, creative director for New Vegas and will feature interior art by Jean Diaz (Boom’s Incorruptible) and Wellinton Alves (Marvel’s Shadowland: Blood on the Streets)

“All Roads” will only available be with the Fallout: New Vegas Collector’s Edition so if you want to know more about the New Vegas world and get that gorgeous Darrow art to boot, pre-order it now. Avellone and Darrow will be signing lithographs of the full cover art at Comic-Con next week at the Dark Horse, so that should tide you over until this fall when the game comes out. Someone bring me back one, okay?
