Marvel Release Thor, Captain America Concept Art Posters For Comic-Con

Wondering what the Thor and Captain America movies are going to look like? Well, like this, apparently:

These two concept art images from next year’s Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger movies are going to be available as posters at the Marvel booth at San Diego Comic-Con, starting tomorrow night. Admit it: That Thor image makes the movie look much cooler than the photos released so far, doesn’t it?

Cooler? Naw, it just looks like a cool comic image that is likely to suck in real life (think: real life version of Wolverine’s yellow costume).

The Captain America one? Hell yeah!

Thor looks much better. Maybe they should drop the live action and just do a cartoon.

Graeme (or whoever writes the headlines): 3rd person singular verb is “RELEASES”, with an “S” on the end. (You didn’t write “That Thor image MAKE the movie look much cooler…”. MCY75 had better sense than to say “Thor LOOK much better.” Same principle applies here.)

I hoped we’d managed to put that oddball usage behind us after the World Cup went away.

Both images are very cool. If only that were a guarantee of movie coolness.

they’re cool posters but I’d be more excited to see actual movie images from Captain America. His costume is pretty cool. I like that it’s based very heavily on the uniforms of the GI’s he’s fighting along side. Of course it’s blue which makes him a prime target :) At any rate, it’s fun to see the Comic-con hype machines get rev’d up.
