White iPhones Delayed Again

Looks like there’s yet another iPhone 4 snafoo. Apple announced today that it will delay the release date of the white iPhone 4s until “sometime later this year,” due to manufacturing difficulties. (The phones were delayed a first time in June.) Here’s the official (very brief) statement:

White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.”
