The Rocketeer Flies Again With Help From New Creators

Two years after the death of its creator, Dave Stevens’ celebrated comic character The Rocketeer is set to reappear next year in four issues of all-new stories from some of the comic industry’s favorite creators, including Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm, Gene Ha and John Cassaday. Announced yesterday by IDW, who published the Eisner-Award winning The Rocketeer: The Complete Adventures collection of Stevens’ original strips, each issue of the new series, featuring a cover by Marvels and Kingdom Come artist Alex Ross, will be launched at some unnamed point in 2011.
